In seeking to demonstrate that molecular computers [1] take part in intraneuronal information processing we found that injection of cAMP produces a generator potential in the neurones of the edible snail [2-4]. Further study of this effect showed that cAMP controls from within the sodium and potassium permeabilities by increasing gNa and reducing gK [5-7]. It was also found that the effect of cAMP appears so rapidly that it cannot be explained by diffusion of the cAMP to the membrane and phosphorylation of the membrane proteins [7-9]. We assumed that cAMP interacts with the cytoskeleton along which the fast mechanical signal travels to the membrane [9, 10]. In fact, it turns out that a large part of the cell protein kinase is bound to MAP2 - a protein associated with the microtubules [11-13].

A cell creates а quantum computing tool for solving complex problems. This tool utilizes hypersound quanta, and uses the cell cytoskeleton as the computing environment. In such a computer, a price of elementary computation converges to the physical limit, which is Planck’s constant
