АННОТАЦИЯ

Depolarization of the neurone membrane induced by cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) has been demonstrated both by the method of ionophoresis and pressure injection. Inflation of the neurone at the moment of injection of different substances under pressure causes depolarization of the membrane with much the same time course as injection of cAMP. The influence of cAMP with use of pressure may be isolated by introducing small volumes of concentrated solutions. The similarity of the effects of cAMP and mechanical stimulation of the neurone suggest that in both cases the action is mediated by the electromechanical system consisting of the microskeleton and micro muscles controlling permeability of the molecular channels. The delay in the effect after the moment of introducing cAMP and cGMP is slight which suggests their direct interaction with the cytoskeleton.
